DALL-E Offers Enhanced Features for Image Generation, says OpenAI

The DALL-E-3 image generator that’s available with ChatGPT3.5 now packs in better features and new functionalities, according to an OpenAI company statement that was made on Thursday. These enhancements are also available to ChatGPT-3.5 users through Android-based smartphones and iPhones.

With these new enhancements, users accessing DALL-E-3 through the ChatGPT-3.5 interface can directly edit their AI-generated images with simple text prompts. Using this new, enhanced, and user-friendly feature, users can modify, refine, or add new elements to their images through the chat interface of ChatGPT-3.5 itself.

This eliminates the need for users to move away from their conversations. “Whether it adjusting details, adding or removing components, these edits can be articulated through text prompts or by utilizing a selection tool for more precise modifications,” the company statement said.

Furthermore, DALL-E-3 now offers preset style suggestions for users. These are aimed at sparking better creativity and assisting persons who are looking for some inspiration to start their image creation. This feature was showcased by OpenAI through the social media platform ‘X’ using a video.

The feature allows users to consider various artistic styles, including close-ups, low-angle, woodcut, artificial lighting, synth-wave, Gothic, hand-drawn or portrait, and sci-fi. All these styles can be compared with a visual preview, which is available through a hovering pop-up image. This enables image creators to envision their creations before selecting a final one.

“With these editing tools and style presets seamlessly integrated into the ChatGPT interface, users can easily enhance their creative projects, making DALL-E more accessible and enjoyable for both new and experienced users alike,” the company added.
